Boiler Replacements

We appreciate that there is a greater need for an efficient heating system so we have a programme to renew boilers with those that more modern and efficient. We use the industry standard of 15 years as an expected lifespan for a boiler before repairs become more frequent and costly.

This does not mean if your boiler is over 15 years old that it is unsafe or expensive to use. We take recommendations from the gas safety check (LGSR) that is carried out each year to also inform our programme.

This also contributes to the Decent Homes Standard for ‘a reasonable degree of thermal comfort’.

What to expect when you have a boiler replacement

You will be contacted by our contractor to carry out a survey of your existing boiler. If you have a combination boiler then the replacement will be quite quick and simple. If you have a boiler and a hot water cylinder, we will install a combination boiler and remove the cylinder, giving you additional storage space.
