Late Night Refreshments

Late Night Refreshment is the provision of hot food or hot drink to the public between the hours of 11pm and 5 am on any day. 

You must have a premises licence to provide late night refreshment under the Licensing Act 2003.

This generally covers:

• fast food outlets
• restaurants
• public houses
• mobile outlets such as burger and kebab vans

Exemptions

• Hotels or Guest Houses providing hot food and drink to guests only
• Employers providing hot food or drink to their employees, free of charge, whilst working
