Evidence on retail includes the following studies, plans and strategies:
- Retail Study Update and Appendices (Strategic Perspectives) Sept 2012
This study updates the previous 2007 Retail Needs Assessment by KCC and various updates in 2007 & 2008. The study supports the retail policy in the Land Allocations Local Plan and helps the district prepare and plan for retail needs up to 2031.
- Retail and Town Centre Needs Assessment (Cater Jonas) July 2018
This study highlights the key trends in the retail and leisure sectors, assesses the overall health and performance of Dover, Deal, Sandwich, and reviews the future needs for retail and leisure floorspace to help the district prepare and plan for retail and leisure needs up to 2037.
