A free, fun-packed festival designed especially for young people aged 11-18 is taking place at Pencester Gardens in Dover next month.

IMPACT Fest promises an exciting line-up of entertainment, activities and workshops, with live music, dance shows and the chance to win prizes.

The festival, put together by DCC with support from KCC, is funded by the Kent Police & Crime Commissioner, DDC, KCC’s Family Hub, Jenner and other local partners. It’s free to attend and is for all the district’s youngsters to enjoy.

The line-up includes:

  • Fragers double decker gaming bus

  • Street football, skills, ball control, freestyle and panna with Yo! Street Zone

  • Performances from Dover Christ Church Academy’s band

  • DDC’s Speed Cage – see how fast you can kick a ball!

There will dance battles from local dance groups and anyone wanting to give it a go can get involved.

Community safety partners will be on hand to provide advice and guidance, including Kent Police, KKC’s Family Hub and Youth Engagement Team, Network Rail and Kent & Medway Violence Reduction Unit.

Cllr Charlotte Zosseder, cabinet member for community, said: “We are passionate about providing things to do for young people in the district where they can have fun and be themselves in a safe space.

“IMPACT Fest brings together some of our best youth groups and providers for an afternoon packed with entertainment, music and activities tailored especially for young people aged 11-18. Youngsters can try their hand at something new or hone their skills with help from the experts!

“This is the first festival of its kind and we hope to see as many of you as possible enjoying this free event.”
