Residents are invited to sign up and see if they can save money on their energy bills with the latest round of Dover District Council’s collective energy switching scheme, now open for registration - registration is free and there is no obligation to switch.

More than 29,000 UK households have registered interest in the collective energy switching scheme to save money on energy bills, and there is still time for residents of Dover District to join them.

Working in collaboration with DDC, Big Community Switch, run by iChoosr, helps residents save money on their energy bills by using combined buying power to access highly competitive tariffs, and helps residents by providing guidance and support to simplify the energy-switching process.

Under the current scheme, participating residents in the district can benefit from the cheapest energy tariff on the market for a 12-month fixed rate* and save an average of £140 on annual energy bills, based on dual fuel monthly direct debit online billing customers who have already registered. Plus, the tariff offers 100% renewable electricity, underscoring the Council’s commitment to sustainability.

Registering to be part of Big Community Switch can lead to potential savings on your annual bill. However, the amount saved depends on various factors such as your current tariff, payment method, usage, and the winning bid. You can find a transparent breakdown of these savings in the personal offers that are sent to everyone who has registered.

For further details on the scheme and how to access this exclusive deal, please visit the DDC website. Dover District residents without internet access can contact 01304 872332 to register. You will need to have your latest energy bill to hand, as you’ll need the details during the registration process. To take part in this round, please register by 9 December 2024.
