Dover District Council is welcoming news that White Cliffs Country Visitor Information Centre has been recognised as a shining example at the Beautiful South Tourism Awards – after winning the Silver Award for Visitor Information Service of the Year.
The awards, organised by Tourism South East, were hosted at The Grand in Brighton on Tuesday (12 Dec), where more than 300 guests gathered to celebrate the achievements of tourism businesses across South East England.
Other winners on the night also included the Battle of Britain Memorial in Capel-le-Ferne, which won the Gold Award for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year, and Rogue's Cottage in Deal, which won the Bronze Award for Dog Friendly Business of the Year.
Cllr Charlotte Zosseder, DDC Cabinet Member for Community and Corporate Property said: “We congratulate all the winners and would like to say a big well done to everyone at the White Cliffs Country Visitor Information Centre on achieving this award. We are delighted that the excellent service and hard work of staff has been recognised in this way.”
