Dover District Council is to offer free parking in its car parks from 3pm on weekdays throughout December.
As part of our ongoing work to support local businesses, DDC’s Cabinet agreed last night (6 November) to offer free parking in Council car parks from 3pm Monday to Friday in December, in the run up to Christmas and beyond.
This comes as the district continues to encourage people to shop local and enjoy the great range of shops, attractions and fantastic places to eat and drink across White Cliffs Country, as we get ready for a range of festive activities this December.
The free parking applies to DDC-owned car parks. On-street parking charges will still apply, and all other parking restrictions, like yellow lines will continue to be enforced.
Cllr Charlotte Zosseder, DDC Cabinet Member for Community, said: “We are very pleased to be able to offer free parking in DDC car parks from 3pm on weekdays this December. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors, and hope everyone takes full advantage of this great opportunity to enjoy White Cliffs Country and the fantastic range of shopping and hospitality in the district in the run up to Christmas.”
