Dover District Council continues to operate a full range of services during the period of National Mourning.
There will, however, be changes to Council services on the Monday, 19 September as we join with the nation in marking the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Household waste and recycling collections
There will be no household waste and recycling collections on Monday, 19 September. As a result, all collection days in the week commencing 19 September will move forward by one day. Residents are reminded not to put their bins out before 7am on their revised collection day.

Collections will resume as normal from Monday, 26 September.
Facility closures
DDC offices will be closed on Monday, 19 September. Residents can access a wide range of services online at www.dover.gov.uk. This includes out-of-hours contact numbers in the event of an emergency.
Dover Museum and the Kearsney café will also be closed all day, as will Deal Pier Kitchen on Deal Pier.
All facilities re-open as usual on Tuesday, 20 September.
DDC owned parks across the district, and Deal Pier, will remain open on Monday, 19 September.
Leisure centres
The Dover District Leisure Centre at Whitfield, operated by Places Leisure will be closed all day on Monday, 19 September, re-opening as normal on Tuesday, 20 September.
The Tides Leisure Centre in Deal, operated by Your Leisure will be operating Bank Holiday hours on Monday, 19 September but will close from 10am to 2pm. Swim lessons will take place as normal in the afternoon.
Books of Condolence
Books of condolence are still available at various locations across the district during the period of National Mourning, along with the Royal Family’s online book of condolence.
