More than 70 weekly group workouts at new Dover District Leisure Centre
There’s nothing like the New Year to start thinking about getting fit! With the new £26m Dover District Leisure Centre due to open early this year, more than 70 weekly workouts will be on offer including classes from acclaimed fitness expert, LES MILLS™.
The opening of the new leisure centre has provided an opportunity for operator, Places Leisure, to expand the programme of classes on offer. Alongside Pilates, yoga, tai chi, aqua fit, and group cycling, a total of more than 70 weekly fitness workouts will be on offer for those that feel up to the challenge!
- LES MILLS™ GRIT CARDIO & STRENGTH classes focused on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), a form of exercise that research has shown to accelerate fat-burning, as well as enhancing general health and wellbeing.
- LES MILLS™ CXWORX provides a seriously challenging and effective workout in just 30 minutes and focussing on the core to tighten and tone your body, improve functional strength and assist in injury recovery.
- LES MILLS™ BODYCOMBAT a high-energy workout inspired by martial arts such as karate, boxing and taekwondo.
- LES MILLS™ VIRTUAL SPRINT/RPM a 30 minute high-intensity cycling class set to motivational music to help get you fit, and feeling great.
The new Dover District Leisure Centre provides a wide range of facilities to suit all levels of fitness and ability. The centre will feature Kent’s first competition standard swimming pool, a learner pool with moveable floor, four court sports hall, two squash courts, two outdoor five-a-side 3G pitches, a Clip ‘n Climb climbing arena, and workout studios.
