North Deal Playing Fields were acquired from Kent County Council and provide an informal recreation area for residents of North Deal, which has been recognised as having a shortfall of green space.
A new play facility was installed in May 2016 following consultation within the community and equipment includes flat and cradle swings, multi play units with climbing frames, a disabled access roundabout and a double width slide. Natural play features were also installed as part of the work, which includes a boulder climbing wall, nature trail units and grass mounds.
The council continues to work closely with the North Deal Community Partnership to improve existing features and a create a sustainable park for all residents and visitors of North Deal can enjoy.
Wildlife Area
A designated 'Wildlife Area' in the park was complete in early 2018, which included a range of different trees, shrubs and daffodil bulbs placed to create a pleasant park surrounding.
The North Deal Community Partnership obtained the funding through the Tesco Bags for Help Scheme.
