Fishing On Deal Pier

Deal Pier

Fishing is permitted on sections of the pier stem, (and lower deck when it reopens). Tickets can be purchased on arrival at the pier entrance.

Please note, following a full structural survey earlier this year, a programme of repair works is now underway on Deal Pier - with repairs being made to the concrete beams and to the steps which lead down to the lower deck.  The lower deck will remain closed whilst works take place, and all being well, will reopen in January 2025.  Both the main part of Deal Pier and the cafe bar on the pier end will remain open while these works take place.

Fish of the month competition

We run a fish of the month competition for which the winner receives two complementary combined day/night tickets.

Simply purchase a fishing ticket from the pier entrance on the day of your visit for your chance to win this prize.

If you feel you have a prize winning catch, please contact the pier attendant on duty who will weigh and record your catch. If your fish is the largest recorded at the end of the month we will contact you.

Each ticket can be used for one full day of fishing on the pier and is valid for three months from the date the tickets were issued. Proof of identification will be required to use each ticket.

For more information, please contact the pier office on 01304 363815 or email dealpier@dover.gov.uk.

Please be advised the pier will be closing earlier on the following dates in September 2024 at 8pm: 1st, 2nd, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 15th and 24th.
