MOT Failures

• The total number of vehicles that have failed their MOT test, broken down region and by month between January 2019 and October 2024. If time allows, please provide the regional data by postcode area. 
• A breakdown of the most common reasons for MOT failures for tests between January 2019 and October 2024, categorised by defect type (e.g., lighting and signalling, brakes, suspension, tyres, etc.). Please provide the total number of failures for each 
• A breakdown of MOT failures by vehicle age, categorised as:
  • 0-3 years 
  • 4-6 years
  • 7-10 years
  • 11-15 years
  • 16+ years
• The number of fines issued for cars without an MOT, broken down by month and region.
