1. How many noise complaints did the council receive in the whole of 2023 and how many complaints have been received by the council between January 1, 2024 and August 15, 2024?
2. How many of the noise complaints received in 2023 fall into the following categories:
*Loud music/parties
*Frequent dog barking
*Children playing in the garden/using a trampoline/ playing outside noisily
*Children or babies crying
*Gardening/mowing the lawn/use of power tools/jet washing/ the noise of DIY equipment
Response
The Council records this data on a quarterly basis, so the data for 2024 is to 30 September and not 15 August, as requested. In addition, the noise type data may not entirely reflect what you have requested but is provided in the categories in which we record it.
