The purpose of this request is to gather data on the average figure the council spends on Christmas lights and decorations.
Specifically, I am seeking information on the following:
- The annual spend on Christmas lights per year, for the following years:
- 2020
- 2021
- 2022
- 2023
- 2024
- The annual spend on Christmas decorations (e.g. trees), for the following years:
- 2020
- 2021
- 2022
- 2023
- 2024
- The estimated energy consumption (in kWh) of the Christmas lights, for the following years:
- 2020
- 2021
- 2022
- 2023
- 2024

Dover District Council does not hold the information you have requested as we do not provide Christmas lights/decorations. Christmas lights/decorations are the responsibility of the three Town Councils for our District (Deal Town Council, Dover Town Council and Sandwich Town Council). Information on how to make a Freedom of Information request to each Town Council can be found on their websites which are:
