The purpose of this request is to gather data on the average figure the council spends on Christmas lights and decorations.

Specifically, I am seeking information on the following:

  1. The annual spend on Christmas lights per year, for the following years:
    1. 2020
    2. 2021
    3. 2022
    4. 2023
    5. 2024
  2. The annual spend on Christmas decorations (e.g. trees), for the following years:
    1. 2020
    2. 2021
    3. 2022
    4. 2023
    5. 2024
  3. The estimated energy consumption (in kWh) of the Christmas lights, for the following years:
    1. 2020
    2. 2021
    3. 2022
    4. 2023
    5. 2024

Dover District Council does not hold the information you have requested as we do not provide Christmas lights/decorations.  Christmas lights/decorations are the responsibility of the three Town Councils for our District (Deal Town Council, Dover Town Council and Sandwich Town Council).  Information on how to make a Freedom of Information request to each Town Council can be found on their websites which are:
