I previously asked if you could you tell me if DDC are in discussions with any other party concerning the change of use of either the regent, the car park, the toilet or the waiting room. You responded that the Council is having informal discussions regarding the redevelopment of the Regent site, which could include alternative uses for the Regent, and the adjacent car park, toilet and waiting room. Please can you tell me who represented DDC at those meetings please.

The first meeting where the possibility of development extending on to Council land was discussed was held on 31 January 2022 and was attended by the Strategic Director (Place and Environment), Councillor Bartlett (Leader of the Council, at the time) and Councillor Richardson (Deputy Leader and relevant Portfolio Holder, at the time). Possible issues for consideration were discussed and it was agreed that the potential of including Council land could be explored further. Following the election in May 2023, an update meeting was arranged for the new administration, which took place on 14 July 2023, and was attended by the Strategic Director (Place and Environment), Councillor Mills (current Leader of the Council) and Councillor Beer (relevant Portfolio Holder, at the time).
