Request

  1. How many parking spaces there are in total in the Dover District Council area
  2. How many of those are motorcycle specific parking spaces
  3. Specify how many are private and how many are public
  4. That data drilled down further by location
  5. What the rules/charges are for motorcycles in the above areas If you hold the data, specifying what spaces belong to supermarket/leisure centres would be great too.

  2. This information is available on the Council’s website at https://www.dover.gov.uk/Transport,-Streets--Parking/Parking/General-Information/Car-Park-Spaces.aspx
  3. All spaces are public spaces
  4. This information is available on the Council’s website at https://www.dover.gov.uk/Transport,-Streets--Parking/Parking/General-Information/Car-Park-Spaces.aspx
  5. Motorcycles can park for free in car parks when parked in a designated motorcycle bay.  If parked in a car parking bay, the car park hourly charge must be paid.  None of the car parks listed on our website (see above link) are supermarket car parks.  The only leisure centre car parks are Fitness Fields, and that is currently free to park for a maximum of 4 hrs and, Tides Leisure Centre, in Deal where, again, free if parked in a marked motorcycle bay or normal charging rate of car park, if not parked in a motorcycle bay.  The Council holds no information about parking spaces provided by supermarkets.
