  1. Can you please send the one-star food hygiene report of the New Moonflower in High Street, Dover after an inspection was conducted last year? This should include the full report and pictures. I am not requesting the information for the most recent inspection, carried out on September 23 where a three-star was awarded.
  2. Can you detail what criminal proceedings Dover District Council launched against New Moonflower in High Street, Dover since January 1, 2023? This should include specific offences, the details of the offences committed and when these offences were discovered.
  3. What was the outcome of any criminal proceedings Dover District Council has launched against New Moonflower in High Street, Dover since January 1, 2023?
  4. Can you also provide me with the number of Freedom of Information requests for food hygiene reports Dover District Council has refused to give out in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019? Can you provide these figures broken down by year? For example, 2024: 4, 2023: 5 etc.

  1. You made a request for this information on 3 April 2023 and the Council refused to provide it as the information is exempt from disclosure under Section 30(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information Act.  You then requested an internal review of our decision, and we reiterated our position that the information was exempt from disclosure.  You then submitted a complaint to the ICO about the Council’s refusal to provide the information. The ICO issued a Decision Notice which can be found on their website at https://ico.org.uk/media/action-weve-taken/decision-notices/2023/4025978/ic-237474-k5t4.pdf upholding the Council’s decision.  The Council’s position remains unchanged, and the information remains exempt from disclosure and therefore we will not be providing the information being requested.
