Request

I am enquiring into S106 payments that were made between 1st June 2016 and 31st May 2020, please can you send the following information: 

  1. Planning permission reference number for each payment
  2. Date of money received 
  3. The balance of unspent money
  4. The total money allocated
  5. The total money spent

The information you have sought is available on the Council’s website as part of the published Infrastructure Funding Statements at https://www.dover.gov.uk/Planning/Planning-Policy/Infrastructure-Delivery-and-S106-Obligations/Home.aspx

The Council does hold the information for the period between 2016 and 2019, however it is not readily available and from our preliminary assessment, we have estimated that the cost of fully complying with your request would exceed the ‘appropriate limit’.   The appropriate limit has been specified in regulations and for Local Government it is set at £450. This represents the estimated cost of one person spending 2½ working days in determining whether the information is held, locating, retrieving and extracting the data. I regret therefore, that on this occasion I must refuse your request for the data between 2016 and 2019 in accordance with Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act.
