  1. For an updated record on the 54t of illegal meat seized, how many tonnes of seized meat has there been since September 2022 up to the present day?
  2. Please list the types of meat that has been seized in order of most to least frequent.
  3. Please list the countries of origin of the meat seized at the border, from most to least frequent.
  4. What is the official protocol of what to do with seized meat, including locations of where the seized meat is disposed of.
  5. What is the training provided to those conducting spot checks on tourist traffic for illegal meat, such as manuals, lectures, or hygiene training.

  1. Approximately 73 tonnes.
  2. Pork and porcine products.  If other food products are found to be contaminated by pork or non-compliant these will also be removed from the food chain too.
