Request

  1. Please could you also tell me where the money came from to fund the six bikes bought around brexit time?
  2. How much was spent on them?
  3. How these bikes were distributed?

Response

  1. The funding came from the Ministry of Housing, Communiites and Local Government (EU Exit funding for local government).
  2. £8,332.50.
  3. The Council holds no recorded or documented information defining their distribution.  The bikes were originally purchased as a preventive tool should they have been required pending any traffic congestion or gridlock in Dover that was anticipated pending the exit of the EU. Due to then various postponements of increased intensive border checks these traffic related matters never fully materialised, they have since been used on an ad-hoc basis.
