Request
I would be most grateful if you would help us, under the Freedom of Information Act, to understand how you (the Port Health Authority sector) manages the disposal of seized foods at Ports in Kent and the South East, can you please advise.
Can you please advise how you procure services for the collection/disposal of seized food goods and the details (dates, specifications, value etc.) of any current contracts / frameworks in place for these services.
Response
I can confirm that Dover District Council (the port health authority) is not responsible for the disposal of seized food waste and therefore does not hold any contracts for these services. The disposal of seized food waste is the responsibility of Border Force (which is part of the Home Office) and you will need to redirect your enquiry to them.
