Commercial Clubs

A club is a commercial club if established and conducted:

a) wholly or mainly for the purposes:

• other than the provision of facilities for gaming; or
• for the provision of facilities for gaming of a prescribed kind and facilities are not provided for any other kind of gaming in the course of the clubs activities

b) not for the purpose of functioning for only a limited period of time; and

c) which has at least 25 individual members

The difference between a members club and a commercial club is that the latter is not established for the benefit of its members. It is established with a view to a profit.
