Yellow Lines (Kent County Council)
A waiting restriction is any marking on the road that tells a driver that they cannot park there freely.
Yellow lines control where and when people can park.
On road parking can:
- reduce visibility making a road unsafe for drivers and pedestrians, especially near junctions and crossings
- mean narrower roads, causing traffic jams and delays, especially during peak traffic hours.
GOV.UK provide information on waiting and parking in the Highway Code.
