Road sweeping recycling

Road sweepings from Dover district are recycled through Kent County Council’s Household Waste Recycling Centre in Dover.  The swept up material is taken to the Biffa plant in Horsham, West Sussex where the main output is sand (mixed with concrete and used in the construction industry) and aggregate (used in the construction industry for filling pot holes and lining trenches).
