Beach Huts and Beach Hut Plots
Dover District Council own beach huts at both St. Margaret’s Bay and Kingsdown and lets out beach plots for people to erect their own beach hut.
Boat Plots
The District Council has boat plots for hire at various locations along its coastline.
Bus Shelters
The Property Services Division is responsible for the day to day management of 56 Dover District owned bus shelters throughout the district.
Cemeteries & Closed Churchyards
The Property Services Division is responsible for the day to day management of the Council’s cemeteries and closed churchyards.
Coastal Protection
Management of the coast defences between Sandown Castle, Deal and Kingsdown and also at St. Margaret's Bay.
Commemorative Benches
Dover District Council can install commemorative benches on council owned land.
Commemorative Plaques
As an alternative to commemorative benches along Deal & Walmer seafront, we have introduced Commemorative Plaques.

Management & maintenance of the Council’s corporate property stock.
Deal Pier
Built in 1954 Deal Pier is used for major angling events
Dover Town Hall
A magnificent suite of four beautiful historic rooms to seat from 10 to 500 guests
Endeavour Centre
A striking beach hut resembling the hull of an upturned boat, was designed and built by students of The Prince's Foundation.
Filming on Dover District Land
Permission is required to film on Dover District Council land.
Leisure Centres
Dover Leisure Centre, Tides Leisure Centre and Indoor Tennis Centre are managed by the Operating Trust Vista Leisure
Parks and Open Spaces
The Council owns and manages many areas of parks and green spaces.
Pitch Bookings
A pitch booking service is provided by English Landscapes
Public Conveniences
Management of the Council’s 29 public conveniences, which are spread across the District.
Sandwich Quay
If you are moored on Sandwich Quay you will need to pay mooring fees.
Street Furniture
The Property Services Division is responsible for the maintenance of a limited number of bollards, cycle racks and lighting.
Walmer Paddling Pool
A paddling pool for children of 10 years and under plus a refreshment kiosk, a putting green, crazy golf course and a bouncy castle. Managed by Vista Leisure.
